   Grand-Sam:  40 Watt’s Betty Boop – 32 ¾”
– Spotted Gray/White

This adorable little boy was born the morning of July 4th, and by mid-afternoon, was already celebrating his “independence” – he managed to get through the fence into the adjoining paddock with 8 older jennets. They patiently “babysat” him until we found him and reunited him with Gidget. We’re pretty sure he decided that Firecrackers are safest when supervised by Mom! Gidget’s a wonderful first-time Mom, and CrackerJack, as we’ll call him, is a perfect little guy.

This little girl is definitely a “Southern Belle”! Not only is she tiny in height, but short in length as well, and with the same black nose as her Mom Zeva, she is a cutie! She gets her name for her silver gray color and my Mother’s middle name. Belle loves everybody and is especially fond of children, who naturally adore her. She’s a keeper!

High's Judge "Tex" Farr

High's Rodeo RobbyDOB:  5-15-11

This little Judge assumed the bench already dressed in his black robe and ready for action!   “Tex” is named for our wonderful friend, Jim “Tex” Farr, a fellow retired Dallas police officer.  Jim is presently a Judge in Dallas, GA, where he has presided for over 20 years.  Since his 82nd birthday is May 16th, we thought it only fitting to honor him with a special “namesake”!  This little guy also has a great pedigree and an amazing Mom and Dad – what more could a boy want!

Patty and Peanut have done it again!  Picabu (“peek-a-boo”) is a dainty, delicate little girl with the sweetest disposition.  She absolutely adores attention, and will climb into our laps just to get more lovin’!  Totally fearless, she relentlessly chases our Kawasaki mule or the tractor – we don’t dare move unless one of us holds her!  Picabu is a mirror image of her Mom, she has a wonderful pedigree and beautiful markings, and we are so proud of her.

High's Rodeo Robby

High's Rodeo RobbyDOB: 3-30-11
Birth Height: 20 ½”
Color: Gray/Brown

Look out, world, Rodeo Robby is in the arena! First-time Mom Emily had a very easy delivery – at 4:30 p.m., she was grazing with the herd - by 6:00 p.m., Robby had already arrived and was on his feet. He is constantly on the move, and keeps Mom on her toes trying to stay up with him. Named for our long-time friend, “Robby” Robertson, his personality is equal to his energy – loving, inquisitive, & very “people-oriented”. He has nice conformation, good colors in his pedigree, and will make a great pet or herdsire.

High's Sierra Mist

This darling little girl could be a ballerina!  A beautiful shade of pearl gray, Sierra is so delicate and graceful, and is an absolute delight.  From her first day of life, she adores loving and attention, and will leave her Mom to come see “Grandma & Grandpa”.  I had saved this name for her sister Misty Morning’s baby girl, but she had a boy, so Sierra gets the “Mist” from her sister.  After so many boys, Peanut finally came through with this precious bundle of love.  She has a very nice pedigree and we are thrilled to have her in our herd.

Grand-Dam:  40 Watt’s Della – 34 ½” – Gray Dun

Born on St. Patrick’s Day, Jeanne “waited us out” before this little boy was born.  We checked on her around 10:00 a.m. – no baby and she was grazing with the other girls.  We left to run errands and when we returned around 3:00 p.m., Jeanne was in the barn with Mister O’Riley, all dry and perky!  This handsome little guy has a great personality, good conformation, and gets along great with the other donkeys.  He’s a precious little “Irishman”, and we welcome Riley to our family.

JJ arrived just in time for Thanksgiving!  We are so blessed to have this great little guy in our family – he is so precious – perky and mischievous as can be, and Misty is a terrific first-time Mom.  He looks to have Misty’s stocky build and Peanut’s size – a winning combination.  With our love for casinos and our dear friend Joe, we’ve really “hit the jackpot” with this little boy!

High's Angel Dust

DOB:  September 11, 2010

This spectacular little girl has exceeded all our expectations!  Her name describes her perfectly: petite and delicate, with excellent conformation, color and markings.  Angel and her Mom were mingling with other donkeys in the paddock just a few hours after birth, and her gentle nature seems to bring a calm to them as well.

Her name commemorates September 11, 2001, when firey explosions and monstrous dust clouds tore through the heart of America, and Angels descended and carried a host of souls to their Heavenly Home.  MAY WE  NEVER FORGET.

This precious little boy has truly blessed our lives!  His Mom, “Sophie” (see her story on Our Jennet page) had been badly abused before we rescued her, and it took her a long time to fully trust us and accept our love. Now she has a beautiful baby of her very own to love, and he dearly loves Mom, too!  She is such a wonderful part of our family, and she and RW have a very special bond.  Little Man is named in honor of a colt RW owned many years ago – it’s only fitting this perfect little guy has come into our circle of love!!

Grand-Dam:  Triple C Metta – 36” – Gray Dun

What a delightful little boy!  Pearce, named for our good friend Pearce Bailey, is ALL BOY.  The day he was born, he wanted to be loved, but didn’t want to be carried, so he walked beside Mom from the back pasture all the way to the barn for the night – and he hasn’t stopped running and playing since!!!  He has nice straight legs and a beautiful head, and is full of energy and personality.  He looks to be a great herdsire or terrific pet – we believe he will lighten to a charcoal gray.

High's Holiday Prancer

What better Christmas gift than a precious baby donkey!  Prancer certainly lives up to his name – he was “prancing around” within an hour of birth, and hasn’t stopped since.  We told him he’d make a great reindeer!  He’s a perfect replica of his Mom, complete with a star.  Prancer loves people, pampering, and “prancing”!
