Patty is a gray girl with personality plus! Her high-pitched bray brings us laughter and always catches us off-guard. She’s a great Mom, loves attention, and her beautiful conformation makes her a stand-out. Assertive but never “pushy”, she gets along well with all the girls. She has a great pedigree which includes colors of gray, dark brown and black.

The spitting image of her Mom, Emily is perfection at its best –a sturdy, correct body with great color and markings. A quiet, gentle little jenny, she enjoys attention, but patiently waits her turn for love and scratches. She’ll be a great Mom, and we look forward to her foals. She’s a great addition to our “family”.
High’s Brandywine

DOB: May - 2001
Height: 32”
Color: Medium Brown

Brandy is a sweetheart. Her very wide cross is compelling, and her disposition is wonderful. We don’t know anything about her background, but she’s a darling jenny, and her daughter Baylee is a beautiful girl – we have great hopes for her.
High’s Kay Baylee

DOB: October 2004
Height: 32 ¼”
Color: Gray Dun

Baylee is a petite girl and the daughter of Brandy. A very correct young lady, her long, upright mane is an attention-getter. She’s a loving jenny with a great attitude, and blends wonderfully with the other girls.
High’s Sadie Hawkins

DOB: April 2004
Height: 32 ¾”
Color: Gray Dun

Sadie was purchased in May 2007. She is a sweet and gentle gray jenny, 32 ¾” tall. Always alert, she pays attention to everything that goes on around the farm. She produced her first foal for us in September 2007, a precious little girl named Starlet O’Hara (for the star on her forehead). Her background is unknown, but she has good conformation and a great personality.
High’s Sassy Sara
DOB: June 2001
Height: 33”
Color: Gray Dun

Sara definitely lives up to her “Sassy” name! With her outstanding personality, she’ll let you know exactly where she wants to eat “her” hay, and when she wants attention! Sara rejected her first baby with us (see her story under Letting Go - High's Amazing Grace) but we feel sure her next foaling experience will go fine. She gets along well with the other girls and “buddies up” with any of them.
High’s Sweet Sophia

DOB: September 2003
Height: 35”
Color: Gray Dun

Sophie came to us in 2007 along with four other beautiful girls. When they arrived at our farm, we went to the trailer to make our final inspection. Four girls were perfect – healthy and trim with great conformation. Sophie was another matter. She was very thin, droopy ears, hair loss, long hooves, etc. We made the comment “we want these 4, but we don’t think this one will make it.” Immediately, she turned away, walked to the far end of the trailer and hung her head in the corner as if to say “It’s okay – I understand no one wants me.” Our hearts melted, the tears flowed, and we said “We’ll take her even if we don’t take the others!” All 5 came to live with us. We began working with Sophie – a hoof trim, wormer, good food and lots of TLC transformed her body. She began to hold her ears up (we later learned she had been used for practice roping!), she gained weight and slowly began to realize that somebody really did love her and she returned that love ten-fold. Today she is a beautiful, happy girl with a terrific disposition.
High’s Misty Morning

DOB: 9-18-06
Height: 33 ½”
Color: Gray Dun
Sire: High’s Jake’s The Man – 35”
- Gray Dun
Dam: Hooten Holler’s Skeeter (Miss Molly)
– 33 ½” - Gray Dun

This darling 2-year old is a delight! She was very shaggy as a foal, and had her first “haircut” at 9 months. She “woollys up” in the winter, and when we trim her, we leave her mane long so we can identify her from her half-sister Wendy! Her stocky build comes from her Mom Molly, and her gentle disposition is definitely all Jake! Misty and Wendy remind us of little children - always the first to instigate mischief - then stand back and watch the others!!! She definitely keeps us amused!
High’s Wendy Len

DOB: 9-7-06
Height: 34 ¾”
Color: Gray Dun
Sire: High’s Jake’s The Man – 35”
- Gray Dun
Dam: High’s Abby Anne – 34 ¼”
- Gray Dun

At 2 years, Wendy has great promise! She’s a trim, correct young lady, and although her Dad is slightly taller than we like, she is “just right”. She and Misty are inseparable, having been together since birth. Her gray color is quite defined, and she has the personality and structure of both parents. The inquisitive one, Wendy always “leads the pack”.
OUR OTHER JENNETS
We also have three amazing brood jennets who consistently produce beautiful foals. All gray duns, Molly, Katie and Abby were our original purchase in 2005 (along with Jake). Molly, born in 2001, has a limited pedigree – we have no information about Katie and Abby, both born in 2002, but we love them dearly and know their wonderful history with us. The sweetest of all our herd, we can and do just about anything with these 3 girls. They’re great with the farrier, lead like pros, come when called – you name it, they do it. They are also inseparable – where one goes the other 2 go, whether it be to the pasture, barn, farrier, or in the trailer. All their foals have great conformation and gentle dispositions.
OUR NEW “HERD”
On March 5, 2009, we purchased 11 adult jennets, 2 jennet foals, and 1 jack foal. This group was a large part of the 40-Watt Donkey Farm herd owned by Mike & Jayne Larsh of Brady, Texas. Mr. Larsh passed away in January, 2009, and Jayne made the heart-rending decision to dissolve her herd. We know God intervened in all our lives when he blessed us with these precious creatures. They have a new loving home, we have a new friend in Jayne, and she takes comfort in knowing her babies are safe and happy.

Millie was pretty “independent” when she first arrived at our farm and preferred to be left alone. Now she is the first to meet us at the gate and adores being cuddled and loved. Gentle in nature with nice conformation, she’s a great addition to our herd, and we know she will have foals with her same sweet disposition.

What can we say about Gidget?!!! She’s perky, sassy, cute, funny – just like “Gidget” from the movies. We just love this little girl – she’s so much fun and gives us lots of laughs – definitely a wonderful addition to our “family”.
All of these jennets are in wonderful condition. They have good conformations – nice round butts, well-defined heads, and all are so gentle-spirited. We enjoy them so much and are looking forward to having many beautiful foals from them.
